Developer Keith Menin is planning on unveiling his $20 million renovation of the Shelborne South Beach in time for Art Basel Miami Beach, which runs Dec. 1 to Dec. 4. LDV Hospitality, which has been behind the expansion of chef Scott Conant’s Scarpetta, is introducing three new restaurants at the 1930s hotel, including Lucy’s Cantina Royale, Bar Tanaka and Vesper American Brasserie. Crème Design’s Jun Aizaki created a “naughty and nice” theme for the renovation of the building’s pool, ballroom, lobby and guest rooms. Menin started out at the Shelborne front desk and has gone on to develop hotels including the Mondrian South Beach and Raffaello Hotel Chicago.
